NAC update doesn't work. Gives firmware with outdated signature. Same problem as the official Citroën update program.

Hi.
I have recently tried updating our family's Citroën C4 software and map. I have tried both this and the official desktop app. Finally got the map updated 2days ago. Head unit firmware won't update, it keeps saying "Version not compatible with hardware". And now I finally know why!
GitHub nac-infotainment-updater tells me why the firmware update hasn't succeeded through this or the official app: they are both stuck on version 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0. The current signed version is 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0. I will try that next, haven't yet tried it, but at least this one doesn't work.

I suspect this issue relates to the fact that NAC firmwares are now old (latest is 2023) and that their certificates are expired, this is a known issue. The issue lies with Stellantis not proposing newer releases, and I'm not aware of any possible workaround. I read on forums that several people are stuck for this same reason.

I can only suggest you to contact Stellantis support, and hope that their will release a new firmware version.

Actually I'm reading that the latest version (44.07.33.32_NAC-r0) can still be installed, so you can indeed try to install it manually.

Edit: those 2 posts describe the issue and the manual workaround for vehicles with the 3x.xx.xx.xx_NAC-r0 firmware version that are now identified in "Peugeot Update" as a NAC_EUR_WAVE4

@Osku9 Actually, looking a bit more, I'm not so sure what you face is a certificate issue. Do you know what NAC version is already installed on your device, and what is your hardware version?
