explainer charts: treeView-beta fence is never redirected to the native tree (NATIVE key 'treeview' vs Pele's 'treeView') #1070
compileExplainerChart is meant to redirect Mermaid diagram types that Archify draws natively, but the treeView-beta redirect never fires.
Cause:archify/explainer/charts.mjs:11 keys the NATIVE table with treeview (lower-case v). Pele's detectType returns treeView (pele@1.3.0 src/detect.ts:63: ['treeView', /^\s*treeView-beta/]), so NATIVE[type] is undefined. The fence then falls through to render(), and the user gets the generic unsupported-type error instead of the pointer to the tree shorthand.
Repro (v3.2.0 and current main, 25cf3708):
import{compileExplainerChart}from'./archify/explainer/charts.mjs';compileExplainerChart('treeView-beta\n a\n b');// → { error: 'A chart fence supports pie, xychart-beta (bar and line), quadrantChart, sankey-beta, radar-beta or venn-beta.', line: 0, example: 'pie title Share\n "A" : 60\n "B" : 40' }compileExplainerChart('mindmap\n a');// → { error: 'Mermaid mindmap is drawn with the native tree shorthand, which Archify validates and lets readers explore.', example: '@tree id=...' }
Expected: the treeView-beta call returns the same redirect as mindmap, i.e. Mermaid treeView is drawn with the native tree shorthand, ... with example @tree id=....
Fix: rename the key to treeView in the NATIVE table. Every other key already matches Pele's detector ids.
Confirmed the detector-key mismatch and incorporated the correction in BlueboxC@41147dd: the native redirect table now uses treeView, matching Pele's detector.
The regression checks that treeView-beta returns native tree-shorthand guidance and @tree id=..., retains the mindmap redirect, and still renders an ordinary pie chart. It passes against both source and the installed Skill on macOS arm64/Node 22.23.2. The full source suite and maintained Chrome gate also pass, with their existing conditional/platform skips retained.
Completed on dev through #1091, integrated by #1102 at commit 10b4dd5. Original contribution history is retained.
treeView-beta now redirects to the existing native tree shorthand.
The exact integrated candidate 98efbfc passed CI run 40177166414: 19 successful jobs, no failures, two deployment-only skips. Closing as completed in the development branch; this does not announce a release or a live installation.
