Hi there, I'm Tomás! 👋

A MSc student in Computer Science and Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, currently pursuing my Exchange Programme at TU Delft, and with a BSc in Informatics Engineering from the University of Aveiro.

I focus on Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Systems and Cybersecurity, particularly how these areas combine to build intelligent systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant and secure.

I’m especially interested in the intersection of AI and distributed systems: designing autonomous systems that not only learn and reason, but also operate reliably at scale in real-world, adversarial environments.

My experience includes hands-on work in machine, deep and reinforcement learning, distributed systems (including both crash and Byzantine fault tolerance), and cloud-based architectures.

I'm always looking for opportunities where I can push these ideas further.
