EdgeTX Telemetry Tone

Lua script for EdgeTX that plays an audio tone based on telemetry signal quality.

• Strong signal: low tone
• Weak signal: high tone

By default, the script reads the RSSI telemetry sensor. With ExpressLRS, LQ or RQly may be more useful if those sensors are available on your radio.

Radio Installation

1. Copy SCRIPTS/FUNCTIONS/rssi_tone.lua to the radio SD card, keeping the same path:

/SCRIPTS/FUNCTIONS/rssi_tone.lua

2. Open Special Functions in your EdgeTX model.
3. Add a special function:

SF1 | ON | Lua Script | rssi_tone

Or assign it to a switch, for example:

SF1 | SA down | Lua Script | rssi_tone

Configuration

Open SCRIPTS/FUNCTIONS/rssi_tone.lua and adjust these values if needed:

local SENSOR = "RSSI"
local MIN_SIG = 30
local MAX_SIG = 100
local MIN_FREQ = 300
local MAX_FREQ = 1800

For ExpressLRS, try:

local SENSOR = "LQ"

or:

local SENSOR = "RQly"

To find the exact sensor name, open the model Telemetry page, run Discover new sensors, and use the name shown by EdgeTX.
