Problem / use case
Currently, diagrams can be added using the existing diagram functionality, but the available options are quite limited. For more advanced use cases, users need additional diagramming capabilities, templates, and editing options.
Draw.io provides a mature and widely adopted diagram editor with support for flowcharts, network diagrams, architecture diagrams, UML, BPMN, and many other diagram types. It is intuitive to use and offers significantly more flexibility than the current implementation.
Proposed behavior
Implement Draw.io integration similar to the existing Wiki.js implementation.
Suggested functionality:
- Create and edit Draw.io diagrams directly within LeafWiki.
- Store diagram files alongside other wiki content.
- Embed diagrams into pages using a dedicated block or editor integration.
- Allow reopening and editing embedded diagrams at any time.
- Support exporting diagrams to common formats such as PNG and SVG.
- Preserve version history through the existing page/file versioning mechanisms where possible.
This would provide users with a powerful and familiar diagramming experience while maintaining a seamless workflow inside the wiki.
