Executive Summary

DelConnect is an integrated mobile application (Android & iOS) designed specifically to build and facilitate communication within the Institut Teknologi Del community. This app allows users to share stories, interact in real-time, and manage their digital profiles using a scalable cloud backend architecture. It provides a modern, centralized, and seamless user experience for the entire academic community.

• Social Feed & Posting: Users can create, share, and view posts (text and images) from the community in a real-time feed with infinite scrolling/pull-to-refresh capabilities.
• Real-Time Interaction: Engage with community content through likes and direct messaging.
• Push Notifications: Stay updated with instant pop-up notifications for new messages and interactions.
• Theming: Integrated Dark and Light modes that respect user preferences for a comfortable viewing experience.
• Secure Authentication: Supports secure login and registration using Email/Password and Google Sign-In.

How to Run the Application

The DelConnect application is built natively for mobile platforms using the Flutter SDK.

System Prerequisites

Ensure your operating system has the following installed:

• Flutter SDK (version 3.0.0 or above)
• Android Studio (for Android emulation & build tools)
• Xcode (for iOS emulation - macOS only)
• Physical Device or Simulator/Emulator.

Running Manually (Development Mode)

1. Open a terminal in the root folder of this project.
2. Install Dart dependencies:

   flutter pub get

3. Generate required Podfiles for Apple targets (macOS / iOS developers only):

   cd ios
   rm -f Podfile.lock
   rm -rf Pods
   pod install --repo-update
   cd ..

4. Set up Environment Variables or Keys: (Make sure the required Firebase Configs such as google-services.json and GoogleService-Info.plist are correctly placed in the android/app/ and ios/Runner/ folders respectively).
5. Run the application:

   flutter run
