Fourteen focused API/snapshot tests and 13 subtests pass. Document actual -32603 archive/reference host-read IO and retained -32602 validation without claiming export/output IO parity.

Document the existing snapshot import error scope: archive/reference host-read I/O failures return -32603; checksum, length and request validation refusals remain -32602. Keep cross-backend export/output I/O outside this claim.
Validation: 14 focused API/snapshot tests and 13 subtests pass. Runtime behavior is unchanged.
