Established on 5th December 2016 under the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT University, the IoT Lab is a premier student research forum and Centre of Excellence dedicated to research, innovation, and skill development. Currently led by Prof. Sankalp Nayak, the lab brings together a diverse team of students, faculty, and researchers united by a shared goal: build useful technology and use it to make everyday life a little better.
We look for problems that matter, work through them until the solution feels useful and real, and rely on research, hands-on testing, and honest iteration to keep the work grounded.
One of the best parts of working here is that there is always something new to learn.

IoT Lab operates through specialized guilds spanning both technical and non-technical domains:

- App Development — We build apps by understanding the problem first. The goal is practical tech that solves something real.
- Web Solutions — Clear, fast, and easy-to-use websites and web infrastructure (hosting, storage, maintenance).
- Event Management — End-to-end event planning and execution, from the first call to the wrap-up.
