Adds a private reader for one canonical station/line/service/destination and an explicit arrival window. It combines indexed schedules with the existing adapter and source policy, using actual canonical frequency, holiday and crowd inputs only for documented gaps. Eligibility and all metadata reads share one repeatable-read snapshot.
Complete empty schedules stay authoritative; partial schedules keep their diagnostics without frequency merging. Platform-specific fallback and revision transitions remain unavailable. Public station pages and APIs are unchanged.
Validated with npm run verify -- -- --maxWorkers=2 and TEST_TIMETABLE_DATABASE_URL against isolated schemas in the existing local PostgreSQL: 91 files, 566 tests passed, including three new integration scenarios.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Arrival information can include scheduled arrival details and, when scheduled coverage is unavailable, estimated arrivals based on applicable holiday times and recent crowd reports.
Estimates are limited to supported service and route conditions, filtered to the requested time window, and may include applicable platform information.
Improvements
Arrival results are evaluated against a consistent timetable snapshot, helping keep related schedule information aligned.
The change adds a station arrival reader that combines indexed scheduled arrivals with constrained frequency fallback. It passes transaction and topology context through the indexed-departure query. Integration tests and pipeline documentation cover the reader’s behavior and limits.
Changes: Station arrival source reader
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Expose indexed snapshot data app/util/dbQueries/queryIndexedScheduledDepartures.ts, app/util/dbQueries/withSelectedScheduledTimetable.ts
The indexed-departure query now passes its transaction, assembled result, and topology to a callback. The snapshot context exports the transaction and topology types.
Build scheduled and frequency candidates app/util/dbQueries/readStationArrivalSource.ts, app/util/crowdArrivalReports.ts
The new reader builds scheduled arrival lines and asks the source policy to select a source. It loads holiday and crowd data and estimates frequency arrivals only when the fallback conditions are met. The crowd-report reader now requires only a database object with selectDistinctOn.
Validate and document arrival-source behavior app/util/dbQueries/queryIndexedScheduledDepartures.integration.test.ts, docs/DATA_PIPELINE.md
Integration tests cover scheduled metadata, snapshot consistency, fallback cases, and unavailable or invalid contexts. The documentation describes the reader’s scope, snapshot behavior, fallback constraints, and exclusions from public serving.

Merge Risk: Low · previous review 6fe14
Historical frequency estimates may miss an eligible crowd report. Bound report selection by the requested reference time; the impact is narrow enough for an owner-accepted follow-up.
