Summary

Signboard 1.7.0 expands AI assistance from individual cards to whole boards, adds portable Smart Action sharing, and includes the latest Arch/Omarchy and release-safety work.

Smart Actions and AI

• Add Smart Board Actions for board briefs, questions, quick wins, and reviewed card changes.
• Support Ollama, LM Studio, OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic in independent Normal and Advanced profiles.
• Store cloud API keys separately using OS-encrypted credentials.
• Add portable Card and Board Action sharing through .signboard-action files, private URL fragments, and the Signboard WordPress sharing page/plugin.
• Improve result cards, referenced-card navigation, modal scrolling and loading feedback, action editing/sharing, title-forward reports, and local-provider timeout handling.

Linux, performance, and appearance

• Add optional Omarchy theme following.
• Improve responsiveness on lower-powered Linux systems.
• Add native Arch/Omarchy pacman packages, safe package installation/update handling, and AUR documentation.

Reliability and release work

• Improve native updater release-note rendering and Linux artifact validation.
• Fix local-day rollover behavior for Planner and due-date surfaces.
• Refresh CLI, MCP, user, and agent-facing documentation.
• Bump the application version to 1.7.0.

• JavaScript bundle build and syntax checks
• App settings and encrypted AI credential tests
• AI provider, Smart Board Action, and Smart Action sharing tests
• Omarchy theme and Linux package installer tests
• Updater, release artifact, card ordering, and MCP tests

The initial full Playwright attempt was blocked by the sandbox denying Electron launch (SIGABRT/EPERM). The representative and release-critical UI tests pass when Electron is given GUI permission.

Release note

Fresh 1.7.0 binaries will be produced separately. Existing older artifacts in dist/ are intentionally not included.
