Problem
The shipped config/lsf.conf.in enables LSF_PIM_SLEEPTIME_UPDATE=y, but lsf.conf(5) has no entry for this parameter. Administrators cannot find its accepted values, default, or interaction with LSF_PIM_SLEEPTIME in the configuration reference.
At current master (35fd168), the parameter has behavior in both the client library and PIM:
lsf/lib/lib.pim.c recognizes y case-insensitively and enables periodicUpdateOnly. When process-group information is missing, it suppresses the automatic immediate-refresh retry until the configured sleep interval has elapsed. An explicit PIM_API_UPDATE_NOW request remains possible.
lsf/pim/pim.main.c recognizes the same value and disables the extra short sleep before servicing an immediate update request.
- With the parameter absent or set to another value, those two flags retain their defaults. The generated configuration explicitly enables the setting.
Source verification
git grep -n LSF_PIM_SLEEPTIME_UPDATE master finds the configuration and both implementations, but no manual entry. The existing LSF_PIM_SLEEPTIME manual section does not explain this switch.
Expected result
Document the parameter alongside LSF_PIM_SLEEPTIME, including the shipped value, absent-value behavior, and both effects. No runtime or default change is needed.
I checked the current issue/PR bodies and all seven open PR file lists; none documents this parameter.
