How to contribut 如何贡献代码 参与功能开发

[yyt520]

有没有共建群，或者一些 todo list， 我可以帮忙开发消化一些功能

Welcome to participate in the development of DeerFlow. Before you start, please carefully read the contribution guidelines to learn how to set up the relevant development environment. Before submitting code, please read the development workflow.

To improve PR merging efficiency, if you use AI-assisted programming, please verify the work yourself rather than handing it directly to the AI.

Please check out the roadmap here #1669 and feel free to add your comments.
As we are short of hands, we just keep the conversation of the tasks and issues on GitHub for the audience.

为什么不建群，情况参考 #1886

明白～～～，那目前有哪些 todo list 待解呢，或者下个版本的规划之类，我想尝试完成一些代码提交，但是苦于找不到这些信息

[WillemJiang]

除了roadmap #1669 里面提的大方向，你可以关注一下issue里面大家提的 bug， 目前社区的小伙伴都是通过提 PR 来修复这些issue的。

Hi @yyt520! 👋

Thanks for your interest in contributing to DeerFlow! We're always excited to welcome new contributors to the community. 😊

Getting Started

The best place to start is our CONTRIBUTING.md guide, which covers:

• Development environment setup (Docker is recommended for the smoothest experience 🐳)
• Project structure and architecture
• Development workflow
• Code style requirements

Finding Things to Work On

While we don't maintain a formal "todo list", here are some great ways to find contribution opportunities:

1. Check open issues - Look for issues labeled with or . Documentation improvements, bug fixes, and small features are always welcome!

2. Documentation - If you notice something unclear in the docs while setting up, improving documentation is a fantastic first contribution 📝

3. Bug fixes - Issues like Legacy .doc files are advertised as supported, but conversion is not reliable #2002 (doc file conversion) or 如何自己添加一个skill #1975 (skill creation guidance) could use community help

4. Skills - DeerFlow has a skills system in - adding new skills or improving existing ones is a great way to contribute

Community

We currently don't have an official "共建群" (community group), but discussions happen right here in GitHub Issues and Discussions. Feel free to:

• Ask questions in Discussions
• Comment on issues you're interested in working on
• Open a draft PR early to get feedback

First Steps

1. Fork the repo and set up your dev environment
2. Pick an issue that interests you (or open one if you found a bug!)
3. Comment on the issue to let others know you're working on it
4. Submit a PR when ready

Looking forward to your contributions! Feel free to ask if you run into any issues during setup. 🙏

Happy coding! 🚀

Hi @yyt520! 👋

Thank you so much for your interest in contributing to DeerFlow! It really means a lot to the community. 🙏

Getting Started

The best place to start is our CONTRIBUTING.md guide — it covers everything from setting up your development environment (Docker is recommended!) to our code style guidelines.

Finding Things to Work On

Here are some great ways to find contribution opportunities:

🔍 Browse Open Issues — Look for labels like

• good first issue — perfect for newcomers
• help wanted — areas where maintainers need assistance
• enhancement — feature requests you could implement

🛠️ Small Tasks to Start With

• Documentation improvements
• Bug fixes
• Small UI/UX enhancements
• Adding test coverage
• Code refactoring in non-critical paths

Community

We don't have an official "共建群" (community group) at the moment, but GitHub Issues and Discussions are the best places to connect with the team and other contributors. Feel free to:

• Comment on issues you're interested in
• Open a Discussion if you have questions or ideas
• Tag @maintainers if you need guidance

Quick Tip 💡

Before diving into a larger feature, consider starting with a small PR (like a docs fix or minor improvement) to get familiar with our workflow. The team is happy to review and provide feedback!

Looking forward to your contributions! Feel free to ask if you have any questions. 🚀

Welcome aboard! 🎉
