Description of changes:
CI had bit-rotted after ~18 months without a run; this restores it so the required checks can pass again. No library logic changes — only workflow definitions and dependency bounds.
ubuntu-20.04runner from the Ubuntu matrix; pin the Miniconda installer to a glibc-2.17-compatible release for the AmazonLinux (glibc 2.26) job; setPIP_ONLY_BINARY=:all:on that job so dependencies resolve to manylinux wheels instead of source-building against the old toolchain (which fails, e.g. newer numpy needs gcc>=9.3).transformers<4.49. Newer releases removed internals the XR-Transformer code imports (AdamW,SequenceSummary, and the*_INPUTS_DOCSTRING/*_START_DOCSTRINGconstants), so unpinned installs break at import.actions/checkoutandactions/setup-pythonto current majors (v1 can no longer resolve Python 3.9 on the current runner image).permissions:block (security-events: write,actions: read,contents: read) so code scanning can upload results.Validated by reproducing every workflow on a fork and running the full build + test suite (
