The action's Dockerfile was built on python:3.10-slim-buster. Debian Buster has been end-of-life since June 2024 and Python 3.10 is nearing end-of-support, leaving the published action image on an unpatched OS and runtime.

Changes

  • Base image bump: Dockerfile now uses python:3.13-slim, which currently resolves to Debian 13 "Trixie" (current stable Debian release) with Python 3.13 (supported through Oct 2029).
- FROM python:3.10-slim-buster
+ FROM python:3.13-slim

No changes to main.py, entrypoint.sh, or requirements.txt were needed, the dependency versions already installed cleanly against the new image.

Dockerfile:1

  • python:3.13-slim is an alias that can change its underlying Debian release over time (e.g., when the default slim base shifts to the next Debian). If you want to avoid unexpected OS changes affecting rebuilds, pin the Debian variant explicitly (or pin by digest).
