PotoView 是一款面向 Windows 10/11 的极简图片查看器。它把图片放在界面中心，提供近乎无边框、可任意调整大小的窗口，并支持一键置顶。隐藏上下边缘工具栏后，常用操作会收进独立悬浮 UI，适合对照素材、参考图、截图和设计稿时持续放在其他窗口上方。
PotoView 只读取源文件，不会覆盖、压缩或修改原图。

解压 ZIP 后直接运行 PotoView.exe。发布包自带 .NET 运行时，不需要安装程序，也不需要另外安装 .NET。
需要加入 Windows“打开方式”时，运行包内的 Register-PotoView.cmd。它只注册候选应用，不会强行替换当前默认看图程序；Unregister-PotoView.cmd 可以完整撤销注册。
当前 1.0 附件尚未进行商业代码签名，Windows SmartScreen 可能在首次运行时显示提示。请只从本仓库 Release 下载，并可使用
SHA256SUMS.txt核对文件。

“识别 101 种扩展名”不代表世界上每种历史或厂商变体都一定能够解码。PotoView 1.0 的显示输出为 SDR；HDR/EXR 可以解码查看，但不会驱动 Windows HDR 输出。PSD、XCF 等分层文件以合成画面或逐页方式显示，不提供图层编辑。

设置保存在 %LOCALAPPDATA%\PotoView\settings.json，日志保存在 %LOCALAPPDATA%\PotoView\Logs，并自动保留最近 14 天。

PotoView is a minimal image viewer for Windows 10/11. It keeps the image at the center of the experience with an almost borderless, freely resizable window and a one-click always-on-top mode. When the edge chrome is hidden, essential controls move into a standalone floating toolbar, making PotoView useful for reference images, screenshots, artwork, and visual comparisons alongside other applications.
PotoView only reads source files. It never overwrites, recompresses, or modifies the original image.
Download the appropriate archive from Releases:
win-x64: most Intel/AMD Windows computerswin-arm64: Windows on ARM devices
Extract the ZIP and run PotoView.exe. The release is self-contained, so no installer or separate .NET installation is required.
Run Register-PotoView.cmd to add PotoView to Windows Open with and default-app candidates. It does not replace the current default viewer. Unregister-PotoView.cmd removes every registration created by PotoView.
The 1.0 attachments are not commercially code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show a first-run warning. Download only from this repository and verify the files against
SHA256SUMS.txtwhen needed.

PotoView recognizes 101 image extensions covering JPEG, PNG/APNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, TIFF, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, JPEG XL, JPEG 2000, SVG, ICO/ICNS, PSD/PSB, EXR, HDR, DDS, TGA, QOI, and common camera RAW formats such as CR2/CR3, NEF, ARW, RAF, DNG, ORF, and RW2.
- Magick.NET Q16 as the primary decoder with Windows Imaging Component fallback

- Embedded ICC profile conversion to sRGB with source color information in the status bar
- Decode resource limits, cancelable frame rendering, corrupt-file protection, and local crash logs
Recognition of 101 extensions is not a promise that every historical or vendor-specific variant can be decoded. PotoView 1.0 currently renders to an SDR surface. HDR/EXR files can be decoded for viewing but do not activate Windows HDR output. Layered files such as PSD and XCF are shown as composites or pages; layer editing is outside the scope of the viewer.

Settings are stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PotoView\settings.json. Logs are stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PotoView\Logs and retained for 14 days.
