Summary

Release v0.2.3. Bundles a dependency stabilisation, documentation cleanup, and CI hardening.

Changed

  • Dependency: pinned surrealdb.go to the stable v1.4.0 release instead of an unstable pseudo-version snapshot (v1.4.1-0.2026...). The pseudo-version was picked up speculatively for an upstream live-query fix that has not shipped in a tagged release.
  • TestIntegration_LiveQueryReceivesChange is re-skipped — surrealdb.go v1.4.0 has a shutdown race in CloseLiveNotifications (Kill closes the notification channel while the SDK readLoop still writes to it). Documented as a known upstream issue; streaming is still covered by the connection unit tests.
  • CI: ci.yml and coverage.yml now run only on pull requests (not on push to main); the nightly cron is disabled (workflow_dispatch only); docs.yml runs mkdocs build --strict on PRs so doc breakage is caught before merge.

Docs

  • Removed informal "wave" phrasing.

Housekeeping

  • site/ (mkdocs build output) added to .gitignore.

Verified

  • gofmt -l . clean, go vet ./... (incl. -tags=integration) clean, go build ./... clean, go test ./... passes.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Pins the surrealdb.go dependency to the stable v1.4.0 release instead
of an unstable pseudo-version snapshot, and re-skips the live-query
integration test that hits a known shutdown race in the SDK's
CloseLiveNotifications (tracked upstream).

Also: code-quality workflows (CI, coverage) are now PR-only, the
nightly cron is disabled, the docs workflow runs the strict build on
PRs, and informal "wave" phrasing was removed from the docs.

Flagging rather than closing, since this is a release branch rather than a dependabot PR.

This is currently CONFLICTING / DIRTY against main, and it is superseded in a way that matters: it proposes releasing v0.2.3 when main is already tagged v0.4.0 (v0.3.0 and v0.4.0 both shipped after it), and its go.mod would move surrealdb.go back to v1.4.0, reverting the pseudo-version pin #99 took for the unreleased live-query Kill race fix. That also puts it in direct conflict with #121, which retires that pin by moving forward to the released v1.6.0.

The other 11 files are mostly CI workflow changes that later PRs have since rewritten.

Recommend closing unless something here has not landed elsewhere.
