Computer Science And Neural Networks In Minecraft

Note: no neural network is implemented yet. The current project focuses on a redstone-based computer network.

A non-academic repo where concepts of CS are explained through redstone in Minecraft (1.26.2).

What this project is about

I don't wanna brag about myself, but I will also be implementing a simplified TCP-inspired architecture by sending signals and storing them.

The actual implementation in this repo is a computer network built entirely using redstone dust and other helper blocks, except command blocks. The main goal is to demonstrate how a message can be encoded, transmitted, decoded, and received without losing information.

This is a lossless wireless transmission concept built in Minecraft: a sender encodes a message into redstone pulses, sends it through a wireless-like redstone network, and the receiver decodes it back into a readable form. In other words, this project is about communication systems, packet-like transmission, and reliable signal propagation rather than machine learning.

A single message encoder/decoder is currently the focus. The idea is to model a simple network where data is represented as signal states, stored in temporary buffers, and reconstructed cleanly at the destination. This is a practical way to explore how digital communication works in a visual and mechanical form.

Storage

To store those signals, the encoded message state, and the received data, a storage system will also be made using blocks such as barrels. This acts like memory or packet buffering inside the network, allowing the system to keep track of what is being transmitted and what has already been received.
