👋 Jules, reporting for duty! I'm here to lend a hand with this pull request. When you start a review, I'll add a 👀 emoji to each comment to let you know I've read it. I'll focus on feedback directed at me and will do my best to stay out of conversations between you and other bots or reviewers to keep the noise down. I'll push a commit with your requested changes shortly after. Please note there might be a delay between these steps, but rest assured I'm on the job! Code Review
This pull request optimizes the simple_seismic_server.py by pre-encoding the static root response and updating the send_json method to handle both raw bytes and JSON-serializable objects. A suggestion was made to refactor the send_json method to reduce redundancy in the write operation by ensuring the data is converted to bytes before a single write call.

The logic in send_json can be simplified to avoid repeating the self.wfile.write() call. By first ensuring the data variable is in bytes format, you can have a single, unconditional write call at the end. This makes the method's control flow more linear and easier to follow.
if not isinstance(data, bytes):
data = json.dumps(data, separators=(',', ':')).encode()

💡 What:
/) into a pre-computed module-level constant (STATIC_ROOT_RESPONSE).separators=(',', ':')) and pre-encoded tobytes.send_jsonmethod to acceptbytesdirectly, writing them to the response stream without invokingjson.dumps.🎯 Why:
The previous implementation performed dynamic JSON serialization on every request. For entirely static content like the root endpoint, this was a significant and unnecessary CPU/memory overhead. Furthermore, ensuring that the fallback dynamic serialization explicitly skips indentation (
indent=2) reduces network payload size.📊 Measured Improvement:
Using a local load testing script (
bench.py), benchmarking the root endpoint (/) before and after the change revealed:Additionally, bypassing
json.dumpsand.encode()completely for static data saves measurable micro-seconds per request.PR created automatically by Jules for task 17211506794373432621 started by Igor Holt (@igor-holt)
