Local setup

npm install
npm run dev

The dev server runs at http://localhost:3000.

Scripts

npm run dev # Next.js dev server (Node runtime)
npm run build # Production build
npm run start # Start built app (Node runtime)
npm run lint # ESLint
npm test # Node test runner

npm run preview # Build + serve locally in Cloudflare workerd runtime
npm run deploy # Build + deploy to Cloudflare Workers
npm run cf-typegen # Generate cloudflare-env.d.ts bindings

Environment

Set NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL in production to the final canonical origin:

NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL=https://genesis-conductor-site.iholt-mymail-aacc-edu.workers.dev

In Cloudflare Workers, set this under Settings → Build → Build variables so it is available during the OpenNext build step.

Deploy

This project deploys to Cloudflare Workers via the @opennextjs/cloudflare adapter.

One-time setup

npm install

Local preview (workerd runtime)

npm run preview

Production deploy

npm run deploy

Requires CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN and CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_ID in the environment (or wrangler login for interactive auth).

CI/CD

The .github/workflows/cloudflare-deploy.yml workflow runs on every push to main: it lints, tests, builds, and deploys to Cloudflare Workers automatically. Set CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN and CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_ID as repository secrets.

SEO checklist

  • Canonical URL wired through a validated site URL helper
  • Open Graph image included at public/og-image.svg
  • Structured data embedded on the homepage
  • robots.txt and sitemap.xml generated by Next.js routes
  • Manifest and favicon included for richer surface metadata
  • News channel linked from navigation, CTAs, JSON-LD, README, and llms.txt
