Touchscreen Friendly Options for Dashboard Widgets

It would be really nice if widgets such as ui-number-input had a touchscreen friendly option where the up/down buttons were on each side of the input field to create physical seperation to make it much easier to use on a touch screen. Also, widgets such as the drop-down are also not very touch friendly and basically require a mouse to use and scroll through options. Touch friendly options for the various widgets in FlowFuse Dashbaord would make it much more well suited and flexible for HMIs used for industrial controls.

Have you provided an initial effort estimate for this issue?

I don't understand this comment. On my phone, dropdown options are spaced 9mm apart, which is ample for touchscreen use.

@colinl I use Chipsee all-in-one Raspberry Pi based touchscreen computers regularly to make industrial HMIs. The only way I can scroll through a long drop-down list on those is by touching and dragging the scroll sidebar which is quite narrow and not easy to grab and drag up/down. If it was possible to just touch and hold on any item in the drop-down and then drag up/down, that would be much easier for touchscreen HMI usage.

Oh you mean scrolling up and down a long list. I thought you meant selecting individual options was the problem. I agree, scrolling can be an issue on a touchscreen.
