Syntax highlighting for Convex Lisp, the on-chain language of the Convex network.
- Registers
.cvx(also.con,.convex) files as Convex Lisp - Dedicated TextMate grammar covering the full Convex reader syntax:
- account addresses (
#1567), blob literals (0xa0b1c2), CAD3 values (#[...]) - tagged values (
#Index), intrinsics (#%...),##Inf/##NaN - CNS references (
@convex.asset) - keywords, characters,
#_discard, quoting and metadata
- account addresses (
- Highlighting for the current CVM core environment: core functions, bootstrap
macros and special symbols (
*address*,*balance*, ...), extracted from the Convex main repository - Bracket matching, auto-closing pairs and comment toggling for Lisp editing
No runtime code — this is a purely declarative extension.
Until the extension is published to the Marketplace, install from a packaged
.vsix:
npx @vscode/vsce package
code --install-extension convex-vscode-0.2.0.vsixThe grammar's symbol lists are derived from the Convex main repository
(develop branch):
- core functions:
convex-core/src/main/java/convex/core/lang/Core.java - bootstrap macros:
convex-core/src/main/cvx/convex/core/core.cvx - special symbols:
convex-core/src/main/java/convex/core/cvm/ops/Special.java - reader token syntax:
convex-core/src/main/antlr4/convex/core/lang/reader/antlr/Convex.g4
When the CVM core environment changes, regenerate the lists from those files
and update syntaxes/convex.tmLanguage.json accordingly.
To try the extension from source: open this folder in VS Code and press F5
(Run Extension), then open examples/syntax-sample.cvx in the development host.
