What changed

The main toolbar now exposes a localized accessible name and the ToolBar role. When keyboard focus enters with no item selected, it selects the first enabled, available item so screen readers announce where focus landed.

Fixes #1004

Validation

  • Regression gate: both new tests fail on clean base 30da6093 and pass on this branch.
  • Full test project via Visual Studio MSBuild and VSTest: 57 passed, 1 skipped.
  • CI-equivalent solution publish build: passed.
  • The workflow dotnet test command fails on both base and fix with MSB4803 (ResolveComReference is unsupported by the installed .NET SDK MSBuild); the same tests pass when built with Visual Studio MSBuild and run with VSTest.
  • The native launcher build cannot run locally because Microsoft.Cpp.Default.props is unavailable; the same failure occurs on clean base.

Not verified

Manual NVDA testing was not available locally.
