In all the years working on this project, I have never heard of a pressure sensor going bad. I had a $15 unit from eBay that was rock solid. Unsure if they can be cleaned or recalibrated or whatnot (although I doubt it). Atlas has really good support. Reach out to them and see if they have any advice. |

I've been running a Nixie & DYI Rem Chem controller for a few years. My build is pretty much as described in the Wiki. I did a Pentair ET4 conversion, so I'm using it's high voltage stuff but the Nixie is a Pi with a Building Automation board, relay board, fan controller, etc. The pool is a single body with a gas heater (not used this time of year in Florida!!!!).
Recently, the EZO Pressure sensor has gone a little bit bananas. Typical pressures in my system with the pump running at 1750 RPM are between 6.5-8 PSI. Yesterday I saw pressures reported in the 20-40+ range. Woa! The flow rate was down a touch to 16 GPM (from 17-18), so I figured the sand filter might need to be backwashed & rinsed. Done.
Post backwash, pressures reported were in the 20-50 PSI range. Flow rates as reported by the pump are 17-18 GPM. Now I'm getting pressure readings as low as 2.5 PSI and and in the 50s all within a brief period. I'm pretty sure it's not the system, but the pressure sensor that's out of whack.
Has anyone exprienced this? Is it possible to clean the pressure sensor to bring it back to sanity? How does one safely clean a pressure sensor?
Thanks for your help!
