Dear developer,
thanks for making this great app. Being GTD-curious, I downloaded it from F-Droid and gave it a try for a couple of days. If you are interested in user feedback (if you just built it for yourself and open-sourced it out of courtesy, it's also completely fine), you can read the text below. I didn't open separate GitHub issues for it's for you to decide, what is a bug and what a feature, what you want to add and what you dont' want to.
- I really like the inbox clearing procedure, it's the best part of my app in my opinion. Coming from Todoist (and sadly probably continuing for a while) it was very refreshing to be led through such an frictionless flow instead of having to type or click from some menus all the tags, projects etc. The only thing I would maybe change is to make the "delegation" part optional from the settings. I don't have anyone to delegate to.
- When you open the weekly review, it is very nice that it reminds you of all the steps, but you cannot look at your inbox or any other of the items the review tells you to look at while you are inside the review wizard. You have to leave, add your tasks to your inbox, start the weekly review again and skip the first step (which you finished by adding inbox) to continue with the second - sorting out your inbox, for which you leave the wizard again, and so on.
- If I add several dependent tasks - let's say "wash clothes", "hang clothes on drying rack", "put clothes in cupboard", I cannot add from the "clear inbox"-wizard the second and the third as On Wait. There is only "single next action" or "project" to choose from.
- I would love a mode where in the projects always the top one in the list is "Next Action". When I finish it, the next one becomes next action. This is also very handy for some errands. I need first to sort away stuff from the floor, then I vacuum clean the floor, then I mop the floor. I don't need to see the other tasks before, they are not actionable. Also if I have to check after every task the corresponding project for the next task, what do I need the second tab in the app for? Then the projects tab would be enough. Otherwise, it would be cool to be able to link tasks. Yeah, I know, the weekly review exists, but in a week my clothes will get moldy in the washing machine ;-)
- When creating a new task, it is easy to hit the "finish task" at the bottom where (muscle) memory supposes a "save" button. It would be nice to have a feature to undo the task then, if you marked it as finished by accident.
- Just as it's possible to search by a button for tasks without project, it would be cool to have some feature to look for tasks without context. These are probable to slip through otherwise.
I think that's all from my notes. I hope it doesn't sound too negative or critical. I could have also written a long praise for your colour choice, UI and UX, but there is nothing left to improve 😊
