Feature Request - Markdown highlight marker

Hey there, great app, thanks for development. I would find it very cool to use the highlight marker from markdown in the editor, described here https://www.markdownlang.com/cheatsheet/text-formatting.html. It seems, that this feature is available in many markdown editors (another discussion here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25104738/text-highlight-in-markdown), hence the request for addition.

Cherry on the cake would be an overview of all highlighted positions in the current article, probably implemented like the TOC.

How is your opinion on this feature?

I think the highlight support should be pretty easy to implement.
I'm not sure about the list. Maybe a footnote is a better fit?

You’ve been using LeafWiki for quite a while, right?

I noticed your sponsorship some time ago, and I think I also saw you leave a thumbs-up somewhere. Nice to finally chat with you :)

Just a quick question: How do you use LeafWiki? More as a personal note-taking app, or as a general wiki?

I think I switched around May from DokuWiki to Leafwiki :) I prefer the lightwheight approach und simple file-handling like in DokuWiki very much, but the editor is a lot better than in DokuWiki.

I use Leafwiki together with a friend, we have a hobby-project in maintaining and improving our home-linux-labs. We use the LeafWiki-Instance to document the Infrastructure, Protocols and future ideas.

Btw. I am not sure if this is a problem in my environment, but after upgrading to 0.12.1 the version number when clicking on my avater on the top right of the screen shows "Version v0.1.0". Do you see this, too?

Quick update on the "overview of all highlights" idea (@DerDomAusDo's cherry on the cake) — I've written up a plan for it.

Direction I want to take: not footnotes after all. Superscript refs scattered through the body plus an auto-appended section work against what a highlight is meant to be (a quiet inline marker), and they'd change the print layout. Instead:

• First step (small): a "jump between highlights" control in the page view — prev/next buttons with a counter (3 / 12), and each highlight gets a stable anchor so it's deep-linkable (#mark-3). No visual clutter, and it simply doesn't show up on pages without highlights.
• Later, if there's demand: a "Highlights" tab inside the existing "On this page" side panel — each entry the highlighted text plus a bit of surrounding context, grouped under its section. That's the "see everything I flagged" view.

Does the jump-navigation step cover what you had in mind, or were you after the full list from the start?

Hey @perber , thanks for the feature-update. I like the proposed steps, especially the stable-anchors for deep-linking.

The idea, to collect all highlights in the "on this page" panel is great.

To be honest, I saw the handling of highlights in text in Trillium: https://docs.triliumnotes.org/user-guide/concepts/ui/right-sidebar/outline#highlights and found it very useful, so I proposed it for Leafwiki :)

Would it be possible, that the collected highlights in the side-panel are also clickable, just like the header-entries?
