Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 7, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Class Sync ("the Bot") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Discord Bot.

2. Information I Collect

Automatically Collected Information

  • Server Information: Server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs
  • User Information: User IDs for command interactions
  • Deadline Data: Course names, assignment names, dates, and associated cohorts
  • Usage Data: Command usage and interaction timestamps

User-Provided Information

  • Any information you voluntarily provide through Bot commands

3. How I Use Your Information

I use collected information to:

  • Provide deadline management and notification services
  • Track assignments and cohort organization
  • Improve Bot functionality and performance
  • Respond to user inquiries and support requests

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Data is stored on the server hosting the Bot, isolated per Discord server
  • I implement reasonable security measures to protect your information
  • Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide services
  • Server data is automatically deleted within 30 days of the Bot being removed from your server; expired deadlines are cleaned up automatically; you may also request deletion at any time.

5. Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties except:

  • When required by law
  • With your explicit consent

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Remove the Bot from your server at any time

7. Discord's Privacy Policy

Our Bot operates on Discord's platform. Discord's Privacy Policy also applies to your use of Discord services. I am not responsible for Discord's data practices.

8. Children's Privacy

The Bot is not intended for users under 13 years of age. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the Bot constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
