… Hello,
Your project is misconfigured.
in the root of your project you have the excluded .venv folder. This is a
virtual python environment that runs on your computer. If you install
Python on your system, it is customary to create virtual environments
per-project.
The intent is simple, you don't pollute your main python environment with
per-project packages, each project can install different packages
(including different versions of packages) and so on.
PyCharm generally creates a new .venv with each new project.
For MicroPython you don't use the .venv directly. Keep it there as it is
what makes type hints work. But it doesn't run the actual code.
MicroPython has no concept of .venv, the firmware flashed on the device
is itself the environment.
Here are the corrections your setup needs:
Don't manually put items in the .venv and don't use it for MicroPython.
Move your main.py from .venv to a folder created in the root of your
project - say src.
In the run configuration:
- set local path to the path of the new src folder.
- leave the device path unfilled - it dictates what folder you upload
into, not what device you upload to.
- Delete the exclusions you have configured.
If in the future you need exclusions - separate the exclusions so that
there's only a single pattern per entry.
Connect to the serial port through the tool window (the one with the file
system and REPL tabs) and then run the configuration. It should now work.

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I am able to run ESP32 micropython statements one by one from main.py (Project.jpg) on RPL with success.

When I try to run the project it fails. I believe the problem is located in the "Run/debug Configurations" panel (RunDebug1.jpg RunDebug2.jpg. Could you give me a help?
