scale of trend graphs of Modbus registers

What is/are your question(s)?

In the WebUI, under Modbus registers, when you tap on one of the values, a trend chart pops up. It has buttons for 10min, 1hr, and 24hr. When these buttons are pushed, the scale at the bottom of the graph doesn't correspond to those time ranges. Also, the displayed graphs don't seem to be correct. Sometimes the 1 hr and 24 hr appear identical.

1. Is this a known issue? I searched but did not find this.
2. Are others seeing this same thing?

One think to keep in mind with the modbus register graphs is that the history is only kept in the web UI. If you close the page or refresh then it will reset the historical data. If there is not enough data for a 24 hour view then it will only show what it has. In short, you really need to keep the web UI open for over an hour to get enough data for the 24 hour view to be relevant. Having said that, if you still think there is an issue let me know.

I didn’t realize this feature was 100% in the webUI. I guess I assumed there were historical data files being stored on the SD card that were being displayed. So these graphs have very little value (at least to me) unless you are running an instance of the webUI for an extended time.

That being said, I would expect the time scale on a 10-minute graph to be 10 minutes, for a 1 hour graph it should be 60 minutes, and for 24 hours it probably should be scaled in hours.

Based on what I’m seeing I assume the graphs are dynamically adjusting the time scale based on the amount of data available, and that they will look more as expected once enough data is available to fill each time period (10 min, 1 hr, 24 hr).

To satisfy my curiosity I will probably open a web page and leave it open for a few hours.
