Very nice. Did you print with PLA or ABS? Depending on where you are and how hot it gets, PLA may deform. The magnets are a nice addition. Neodymium I assume? I've used a lot of MagCraft magnets, they have some fantastic pull strength. |

It’s ABS. And you’re correct on the magnets!Don BarryOn Sep 7, 2026, at 5:06 PM, Jon R. Helms ***@***.***> wrote:

Were the magnets in the original or your addition? They are a nice addition. Neodymium I assume? I've used a lot of MagCraft magnets, they have some fantastic pull strength.

Uh oh!

Ive used GenMon for many years. My current deployment used a sealed case to hold the Pi.
it works ok, but runs hot in the summertime.
So I modified as case I found on Thingerverse and it’s coming out pretty good.
It uses the Pi 3b+, and the latest revision HAT from @skipfire s site. I added the fan, too. Mounts with magnets.
It’s only functional issue is you have the loosen the case screws to remove the cable that goes to the generator.
If there’s any interest I’ll publish it on Thingiverse
cheers,

Don
