Heads-up before you dig into this back when we ran Hive against devnet-4, most of the fork-choice failures traced to intentional divergence and not bugs, for example we queue unknown-block gossip attestations instead of rejecting them because we don't have a persistent DB to fall back on, we skip XMSS verification on non-aggregators to stay under the OOM budget (but this has been resolved so we should be able to do this now since we solved the buffer leak), and the same-slot equivocation test needs deeper wiring to feed gossip-aggregated votes into head selection. Some of the block-body rules (MAX_ATTESTATIONS_DATA cap, duplicate-data rejection, and non-genesis anchor checkpoint sync) got fixed in that pass, so feel free to reconfirm each against devnet-5 because a lot has changed since then.
