I am currently learning JavaScript (frontend) and Python (backend). I have been practicing through projects and tutorials, but I believe learning becomes much better when we collaborate and discuss ideas together.

My timezone is GMT+8. Since English is not my native language, I'll be using a translator to communicate, but my code speaks for itself. Also, due to the network firewall here, I don't use Western social media. GitHub will be our perfect and only battlefield for collaboration.

My main focus has been on web development, and I am continuously improving my skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I enjoy learning new technologies and collaborating with others.

Honestly the hardest part with these partnerships isn't finding people, it's keeping the rhythm. Most coding buddy threads die after a week or two because nobody sets a structure.

A few things that have worked for me with past study partners:

Fix one cadence and stick to it. One 45 min call per week at the same time beats four sessions you cancel. Discord voice + screenshare is enough, no fancy tooling needed.

Each session should ship something visible. A kata solved together, a small feature pushed, or a code review on each other's work from the past week. If a session ends with nothing committed, the next one is harder to show up for.

Mix solo and pair work. Solve the same kata separately first, then compare solutions for 20 minutes. You learn way more from seeing how someone else thought through the same problem than from watching them type.

For JS/Python specifically, Codewars itself is a natural meeting point. Pick a kata, both solve it in your chosen language, then read each other's solution in the discussions tab. The conversation writes itself.

If you want matches faster, drop your timezone and your current level (rank/kyu on Codewars, projects you've shipped). People can self-sort instead of guessing from a generic ask.
