Difficult to use Exits & Endings tool

when I make a new exit/ending it does not work, but the return exit does work. it fixed itself on one of my exits and I thought it was a one time issue but it happened again so I'm assuming it's a common issue.

Yes, I'm seeing the problem where room data in Exits & Endings panel gets stale. It needs to eagerly reload, whereas the other tools should remain on lazy reload.

Related minor issue: Room tool should eagerly reload when Palette changes, to avoid colors going out of sync. The difficulty is that I don't want to clobber the level designer mid-gesture.
